HD News Production- WVIR-29

Charlottesville, Virginia

WVIR-29 chose Digital Video Group, Inc. to work with to bring HD news to Charlottesville Virginia! Digital Video Group, Inc. included Panasonic AG-HPX500 HD cameras for studio use, Vinten pedestals, a Grass Valley Kayak HD production switcher, Chyron Hyper X and a LEX2 HD charter generators, and assorted terminal gear from Miranda, Evertz, Ensemble Designs and AJA. WVIR also purchased a Panasonic AV-HS400 HD switcher to allow for HD production in their remote truck as well as an addational AG-HPX500 P2 HD camcorder for production use.


HD Studio News Production- WDBJ-7

Roanoke, Virginia

 
Digital Video Group, Inc. worked with WDBJ-7 to deliver HD News Production to Roanoke Virginia! The project included a Ross Vision 4ME HD production switcher, JVC GY-HD250 studio cameras, Vinten pedestals, Evertz MVP monitor wall utlizing JVC monitors and AJA up/down conversion. HD programing is provided by a Harris Nexio HD server. News Editing is performed by Grass Valley Aurora editors and K2 server playout also provided by Digital Video Group, Inc.

 

Turnkey HD Television Studio – James Madison University

Harrisonburg , Virginia

Digital Video Group, Inc. recently installed a complete turnkey HDTV studio for James Madison University. The system included a Grass Valley production switcher, Ikegami HD studio cameras, Chyron graphics, and a Wheatstone audio console. Miranda multi imaging was displayed on two Panasonic 65" plasmas. Clear-Com intercom systems were used through out. The studio is the first High Definition system of its type in the state.


Digital Production Console - WWBT-12

Richmond, Virginia

 
Digital Video Group, Inc. worked with WWBT-12 in Richmond Virginia to deliver a new Wheatstone D-9 Digital Audio Console. The new D-9 console will serve as their main production console for news. Digital Video Group, Inc. also delivered a similar D-9 console to WWBT's sister station WBTV-3 in Charlotte North Carolina.

 

HD Editing Suites – Renegade

Hunt Valley , Maryland

Digital Video Group, Inc. recently delivered a new Symphony Nitris, Avid Unity, and Avid Interplay system for Renegade in Hunt Valley, Maryland. The system included over 24TB of online storage for editing and finishing HD projects. Clients to the Unity / Interplay system include the Symphony for finishing as well as Media Composer and Final Cut editing clients.


Editing and Routing System - Greenpeace

Washington D.C.

 
Digital Video Group, Inc. worked with Greenpeace in Washington DC to provide a Final Cut Pro editing system utilizing AJA Kona Hardware. The system included over 3 Terabytes of online storage connected by fiber channel. A Sierra Video Systems Router was used as well as Videotek/Harris terminal gear. The system included a Panasonic DVCPRO-50 deck for editing as well as a Panasonic 26" Production monitor.

 

HD/SD Editing/Compositing Suite – Thoughtstream Media

Richmond, Virginia

Digital Video Group, Inc. partnered with Thoughtstream Media to deliver and install a new Avid DS-Nitris editing system. The system included over a terabyte of online storage and will be able to edit HD and SD footage. The system will allow Thoughtstream Media to edit and output projects in any format for their clients. Digital Video Group, Inc. also included a Sony HDCAM-SR deck and a Panasonic AJHD1400 DVCPROHD deck for mastering. Panasonic and JVC HD monitors were used through out.


Digital Production Conversion - WCSC-5

Charleston, South Carolina

 
Digital Video Group, Inc. worked with WCSC-5 to upgrade their production switcher and associated equipment to digital. The upgrade included replacing their analog production switcher with a new digital Grass Valley Zodiak 2.5 ME switcher. Ikegami monitors with SDI digital inputs were used for the program and preview. A Grass Valley Concerto router was added with an Encore control system as well as a Prime Image D-1 audio/video delay unit. AJA conversion gear was used throughout.

 

Complete Production Facility - McKinney+Silver

Durham, North Carolina

When McKinney+Silver began to plan their move from Raleigh to Durham North Carolina they called upon Digital Video Group, Inc.. The project included the system engineering, design, and installation for the new facility. The new space in Durham included two Avid edit suited, a Digidesign Pro Tools Audio suite with voice over booth, and a core equipment room that tied the rooms together through a Sierra Video Systems router. Space was a major concern so custom consoles were designed and used in the two edit suites as well as the audio suite. McKinney+Silver has many clients at remote locations and a voice over ISDN system was also installed. The premier advertising agency uses the new system for clients such as Audi and Travelocity.com.

Avid Unity System - International Mission Board

Richmond, Virginia

 
The International Mission Board in Richmond Virginia called on Digital Video Group, Inc. to provide them with their Shared Area Network needs. Digital Video Group, Inc. designed the system to include a 2Gig-a-bit switch with optical fiber connections. Over a tera-byte of on-line storage can be accessed and shared from multiple edit suites as well as from graphic and audio suites. The job done on time, on budget , and all of their archived footage was moved to the new system with no loss of data.

 

Avid Editing Suites- Metro Productions

Richmond/Hampton, Virginia

Digital Video Group, Inc. Installed two Avid Adrenaline HD editing suites for Metro Productions. One suite is located in their Richmond office and one is in their Hampton office. The edit suites are used for both comerical and industral client work and offer uncompressed editing for high end projects.

Complete Production Facility - Virginia Union University

Richmond, Virginia

Digital Video Group, Inc. installed a complete television studio for Virginia Union University. The system included Ikegami studio cameras, Panasonic production switcher, Panasonic DVCPRO editing VTR's, DNF Controls editor, and Mackie audio board. The system also included an Avid editing and graphic system. DVD and tape duplication was included for copies. Ikegami and Panasonic monitors were used through out the system and Telex was used for intercom.
